MOCAT Research Team

The MOCAT observatory is composed of experts in the field of prokaryotic, fungal, and protist ecology and diversity.  Their collaboration assures a multi-disciplinary approach to answering questions regarding the ecology and function of caterpillar gut microflora.  While field work is performed in Costa Rica, much of the laboratory bench work and data analysis is conducted at the home institutions of the research team members: Portland State University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Marine Biological Laboratory, and University of Western Ontario.
